He then volunteered to serve free meals to the elderly at Suseo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, exchanging New Year greetings and well wishes.
Additionally, he personally oversaw major ongoing tasks on site. To inspect the Smart Gangnam Community Office, the first of its kind nationwide, he visited the Gaepo 2-dong Resident Center.
He also visited the Suseo-dong 730 Robot Plus Demonstration Development Support Center, scheduled for completion in March next year, to check on the progress of construction. After completion, when the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s national project contest is actively promoted, the district plans to form a consortium with government ministries and robot companies to further activate the robot industry in line with this initiative. After finishing the field schedule, he paid respects at the grave of Ahn Chang-ho located in Dosan Park, reaffirming his New Year’s resolve.
Mayor Joseongmyeong of Gangnam District stated, “As we welcome the Year of the Blue Dragon, symbolizing courage and hope, I hope that all residents achieve their aspirations this year,” and added, “We will continue to pursue change and innovation to create a Gangnam that surpasses the past 50 years and leads the future 100 years of South Korea.”
