Public Procurement Service, 163 Large-Scale Projects Worth 1.8 Trillion Won to be Tendered in January
The Public Procurement Service announced on the 2nd that it plans to issue competitive bidding notices for a total of 163 large-scale projects worth approximately 1.89 trillion KRW this month.
Large-scale projects refer to those with a scale of 1 billion KRW or more for goods and services, and 10 billion KRW or more for construction.
Among these, 126 are new notices worth 1.596 trillion KRW, and 37 are carry-over notices worth 294.1 billion KRW.
Major new projects include 35 construction projects worth 1.141 trillion KRW such as the "Gangbuk Water Purification Plant Expansion Construction," 23 goods projects worth 179.3 billion KRW such as the "Seoul Subway Smart Control Signal System Manufacturing, Purchase, and Installation," and 68 service projects worth 275.7 billion KRW such as the "2024-2025 NTIS Operation and Maintenance Project."
The volume of notices planned for this month (1.89 trillion KRW) is 60.9% (2.9477 trillion KRW) less than the volume announced in December last year (4.8378 trillion KRW).

A Public Procurement Service official stated, "The decrease in the volume of notices planned for this month is largely analyzed to be due to the completion of many project plans last year, which also reduced the volume of orders."
