NHN Cloud Transitions to Sole CEO Structure with Kim Dong-hoon
NHN Cloud announced on the 2nd that it has transitioned from a co-CEO system to a sole CEO system with Kim Dong-hoon as the sole CEO as of the 1st.
CEO Kim joined NHN as a developer in 2008, building experience in technology and gaming fields. He then served as head of the cloud technology team in 2014, head of the cloud business division in 2018, and head of the cloud business group in 2019. Since April 2022, when NHN Cloud was launched as an independent corporation, he has served as co-CEO of NHN Cloud.

Going forward, CEO Kim Dong-hoon plans to actively leverage the scalability of NHN Cloud, which is based on OpenStack, to lead the 'cloud native' paradigm in the market. To this end, he will continuously research and develop cloud native products and actively secure cloud native transformation projects in key sectors such as public, finance, and IT. In addition, he will continue distinctive strategies already underway, such as expanding AI-specialized data centers and internalizing cloud security capabilities, dedicating full efforts to the growth of NHN Cloud.
CEO Kim expressed his aspirations, saying, "I feel an even greater sense of responsibility as I take on the role of CEO during a difficult period expected to see a prolonged economic downturn. Nevertheless, as this is a critical time to achieve a new leap forward, I will do my best to meet everyone's expectations."
