List of 150 Minors Sexually Exploited by Billionaire to Be Released
Court: "Jeffrey Epstein List to Be Released on January 1"
Includes High-Ranking Social Figures... Major Impact Expected
The list of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was imprisoned and died after being accused of luring teenage girls for human trafficking and sexual exploitation, is scheduled to be released on January 1, 2024.
According to recent reports from the AP News and others, Loretta A. Preska, a U.S. District Judge in New York, ordered on the 20th (local time) the disclosure of the identities of more than 150 people mentioned in numerous court documents related to Epstein. The list is known to include high-ranking figures, which is expected to cause a major stir.
Epstein, born into a Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York, worked as a private high school teacher before retiring and joining Bear Stearns, one of the five major investment banks in the U.S.
After leaving the company in 1982, Epstein established an investment firm called J. Epstein & Company in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Based on his exceptional investment acumen, he amassed wealth and gained access to New York high society, becoming a socialite. Former President Donald Trump was also known to have been close friends with Epstein in the past.
Later, Epstein was indicted on charges of luring minors to his villas in the Virgin Islands and his Manhattan residence in New York, and holding them as sex slaves for years. Investigations revealed that he invited influential figures and acquaintances from various fields to facilitate prostitution, and he was imprisoned in July 2019 on charges of trafficking and sexually exploiting at least 36 teenage girls.
In August of the same year, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals partially released case-related documents, revealing involvement of prominent politicians such as former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former Senator George Mitchell. Epstein took his own life in his jail cell the day after part of the list was made public.
Judge Preska explained the disclosure of the list by stating, “Considering that some names of those involved have already been revealed through media interviews and the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice and former lover.” However, some records, including the identities of victims who were minors at the time of the incidents, will remain confidential.
Meanwhile, it was mentioned that Prince Andrew Albert Edward of the United Kingdom was also implicated in Epstein’s sexual exploitation crimes, causing significant controversy in British society.
In the 2020 documentary “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” produced by a broadcasting company, former model Lisa Phillips revealed, “Epstein coerced women into having sexual relations with Prince Andrew.”
