LG Electronics Electric Vehicle Charger Obtains UL Certification in the US
Certification of 11kW Slow Charger Scheduled for Release in the US Early Next Year
Additional Certification Planned for 175kW Fast Charger
LG Electronics' electric vehicle charger has proven its safety and manufacturing technology by receiving certification from UL in the United States.
LG Electronics announced on the 29th that it recently received a certificate from UL at the Magok Science Park in Seoul. The event was attended by Woo Jong-jin, head of LG Electronics BS Research Institute, and Milan Dotrich, President of UL's Energy & Industrial Automation Division, among others.

UL is a leading safety (testing) certification organization in the United States. It evaluates the safety of electrical and electronic products and grants certification to products that meet national standards.
The certified product this time is a slow charger (11kW AC EV Charger, wall-mounted type, model name: EVW011SK-SN) scheduled to be launched in the U.S. market in the first half of next year. LG Electronics obtained certification for the 'UL Standard for Safety of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (UL 2594)' as well as standards and safety-related items for electric vehicle chargers.

LG Electronics plans to further enhance the competitiveness of its electric vehicle charger products in the U.S. market by additionally completing UL certification for a 175kW fast charger by early next year.
