MetLife Life Insurance, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Awarded 'Family-Friendly Company' Certification for 3 Consecutive Years
MetLife Life Insurance announced on the 28th that it has obtained re-certification as a ‘Family-Friendly Company,’ a designation awarded by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems.
MetLife Life Insurance, which first received certification in 2018, has now achieved three consecutive certifications including the extension and this year’s re-certification. The certification status will be maintained until the end of November 2026.
MetLife Life Insurance was highly evaluated for implementing measures beyond the legally mandated protections related to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. The company actively operates various programs to foster a healthy organizational culture, including the introduction of flexible working hours, company invitation events for employees’ children, early leave days called ‘Comma Day’ and ‘Wellness Day,’ a massage service for the visually impaired called the ‘Health Keeper Program,’ and a one-year infertility leave.
To build an inclusive organizational culture and gather employee feedback, the company launched the DEI Lab this year, involving about 20 employees. Reflecting diverse employee opinions, initiatives such as parking support for pregnant employees and special lectures for working parents were introduced. DEI Lab activities will continue next year as well.
