LG Electronics Unveils '2024 QNED TV' Featuring Alpha 8 Processor
AI Enhanced 1.3 Times More Powerful
webOS Renewal Program Applied
Added 98-inch Model... Full Lineup from Small to Extra Large Established
LG Electronics announced on the 28th that it will introduce the 2024 QNED TV equipped with the AI technology-based 'Alpha 8 Processor.'
The Alpha 8 Processor, an evolution from the previous Alpha 7, delivers 1.3 times more powerful AI performance to provide picture and sound quality befitting a large-sized TV. Graphic performance representing text, faces, and textures on the screen has improved by 2.3 times, and processing speed responsible for app loading and more has increased by 1.6 times.
It autonomously distinguishes the genre of the video being watched and the background within the screen to provide a three-dimensional viewing experience, while finely adjusting HDR effects and brightness by segmenting each scene into zones. The 'Personalized Picture Settings' feature offers optimized customized picture quality through deep learning simply by selecting a few preferred images. The 'AI Sound Pro' technology converts 2-channel audio sources into virtual 9.1.2 channels to deliver rich sound.

The LG QNED evo, which applies Mini Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, distinguishes brightness into one million levels based on 64 times enhanced contrast expression compared to previous models. It also applies 'Precision Dimming' technology that finely adjusts contrast by segmenting zones within the screen.
LG Electronics also operates the 'webOS Renew Program' so that existing TV users can enjoy the latest TV experience. Customers who own the 2022 LG QNED evo 8K series will receive webOS upgrades annually for the next five years.
With the newly unveiled 98-inch QNED TV, LG Electronics now offers a full lineup of QNED TVs ranging from small to extra-large sizes (43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 86, and 98 inches).
