Public Procurement Service: "Overseas Demonstration Support Project Serves as a Stepping Stone for Innovative Companies' Global Expansion"
The Public Procurement Service's overseas demonstration support project is playing a stepping stone role in helping domestic innovative companies pioneer export markets. Overseas demonstration of innovative products is structured so that the Public Procurement Service purchases products on a trial basis and provides them to overseas public institutions, which then give feedback on the product usage reviews (test results) and related certifications to the companies and the Public Procurement Service.
According to the Public Procurement Service on the 27th, this year, overseas demonstrations of seven domestic innovative products were conducted in 18 countries. As a result, companies participating in the overseas demonstrations were able to build a track record of on-site application and gain opportunities to enter actual overseas markets.
For example, Inonet Co., Ltd. achieved success by demonstrating its dual TVWS (technology that enables communication by utilizing the TV frequency white space) gateway in South Africa and other locations, and subsequently signing an export contract worth $1.15 million with Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, UCNCC Co., Ltd. installed thermal barrier paint at a national public university in Indonesia, received recognition for its cooling energy-saving effect, and is currently establishing a local corporation overseas and promoting the construction of a production plant.
Upit Co., Ltd. demonstrated multimedia learning devices at the National School in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and is reportedly negotiating participation in Mongolia's digital education support project led by major U.S. big tech companies.
Like these companies, the Public Procurement Service plans to continue providing customized export support to discover promising future small and medium-sized enterprises and open paths for them to enter overseas markets.
