Ulsan City Exceeds Target for Hometown Love Donation Fund
As of the 26th, 1,714 People Donated 170 Million Won
High Preference for Return Gifts Like Boksundoga and Ulsan Pay
Ulsan City has exceeded its hometown love donation fundraising goal of 150 million KRW (1,714 donors) this year.
As of 9 a.m. on the 26th, 1,714 donors have participated in the Ulsan Hometown Love Donation Program, with the total amount raised reaching 170 million KRW.
Ulsan City attributes the achievement of this goal to the active participation of Ulsan natives who love their hometown and donors who support Ulsan.
Initially, Ulsan City faced difficulties in raising funds because residents with addresses within Ulsan were not allowed to donate to the hometown love fund, and donations could only be accepted from residents of other cities and provinces.
Accordingly, the city appealed for participation in the hometown love donation program by visiting companies located in local industrial complexes and public institutions in the Ujeong Innovation City, and achieved the goal through active promotion such as video advertisements at KTX Ulsan Station and on Donghae Nambu Line trains.
In particular, interest in the hometown love donation program, which offers tax credit benefits ahead of year-end tax settlements, increased, resulting in a 250% rise in donations in December compared to the previous month.
The most popular thank-you gift was Boksundoga Makgeolli, followed by Ulsan Pay, pork, sesame oil, and Korean beef.
