Gochang-gun Secures 191 Billion KRW in National Budget for Next Year... 7.1% Increase from Previous Year

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 26th that it secured 191 billion KRW in national budget this year, an increase of 7.1% compared to last year.

Considering the government budget growth rate is 2.8%, the cooperative system between Shim Deok-seop, the governor of Gochang-gun, and Yoon Joon-byung, the member of the National Assembly, is shining.

In particular, the long-awaited local projects such as the "Kimchi Raw Material Supply Complex Construction Project (29 billion KRW)," the "Gochang Mudflat World Heritage Area Center Construction Project (17 billion KRW)," and the "Gochang New Vitality Industrial Complex Public Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Project (3.9 billion KRW)" were finally reflected at the National Assembly stage.

Additionally, 47 new projects were included, such as ▲ Ramsar Ungok Wetland Center Construction (8 billion KRW) ▲ Gochang Veterans Hall Construction (4.3 billion KRW) ▲ Maintenance of Mujang, Military-owned, and Daejang Sewage Pipelines (18.2 billion KRW) ▲ Maintenance of Daesan Drought Disaster Risk Improvement District (18 billion KRW) ▲ Maintenance of Gyocheon 3 District Steep Slope (3 billion KRW) ▲ Maintenance of Yonghyeonje and Cheongsolje Disaster Risk Reservoirs (3.5 billion KRW).

Moreover, this year, the county also played a significant role in securing national funds by being consecutively selected for public contest projects.

Major public contest projects selected include ▲ Honam Region Drone Integrated Support Center (37.5 billion KRW) ▲ Rural Agreement (58.9 billion KRW) ▲ Rural Tourism Star Village Development Project (10 billion KRW) ▲ Ramsar Ungok Wetland National Ecological Culture Exploration Trail Construction (3 billion KRW).

Governor Shim Deok-seop said, "The achievement of securing the national budget will be an important catalyst to realize 'a vibrant Gochang where all residents are happy,' and we will create a great Gochang together with the residents."
