Samjong KPMG announced on the 26th that it will hold the '5th KPMG Ideathon.'
The KPMG Ideathon is a competition held for university students to solve corporate problems and improve business efficiency through AI (artificial intelligence)-centered ideas and solutions. It is scheduled to take place over two days on February 20 and 21 next year. The theme of this year's competition is 'Implementation of a Prototype for Corporate Work Automation and Productivity Improvement Using Generative AI Models.'
Participants must be currently enrolled university students (including undergraduates and graduate students). Teams must consist of 4 to 6 members of mixed gender, and at least one member must be a STEM major (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics). Applications will be accepted until January 18 next year. During February, participants will have time to develop prototypes of their ideas, such as programming, and then present their concrete ideas.
The organizers will judge the winning team based on prototype completeness, relevance to the theme, market friendliness and growth potential, and innovativeness. The winning team will receive a prize of 10 million KRW. Additionally, an internship opportunity at Samjong KPMG's Lighthouse division will be offered. The second place team will receive 5 million KRW, and the third place team will receive 3 million KRW. The total prize money is 18 million KRW. All finalists in the domestic competition will receive a certificate of participation.
