SGE Confirms Supply of Ecos Steel Ascon to Ukraine Worth 17.8 Billion Won
Asphalt manufacturing company SG (CEO Park Chang-ho) will supply its eco-friendly product, 'Eco Steel Ascon,' to Ukraine.
On the 22nd, the company announced through a public disclosure that it has signed a contract to supply approximately 17.8 billion KRW (12.5 million euros) worth of Eco Steel Ascon to Ukraine's DS Prom Group LLC until 2026.
DS Prom Group, established in 2006, is a construction company engaged in road construction projects throughout Ukraine. It has also been introduced by KOTRA as one of the major infrastructure construction companies in Ukraine.
Earlier in October, a delegation from Ukraine visited SG in person to explore mutual cooperation plans. Subsequently, SG decided to establish a local subsidiary and signed a business cooperation MOU with the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine, laying the foundation for its business expansion into Ukraine.
Through this contract, SG will be able to actively supply its eco-friendly 'Eco Steel Ascon' product, which utilizes industrial byproduct slag, to Ukraine, a steel powerhouse. In particular, Eco Steel Ascon has advantages over conventional asphalt concrete in terms of quality and maintenance costs, and it also meets eco-friendly standards. The company expects this project to showcase its excellent product quality and technological capabilities in the global market.
