"The Key to Choosing a Bidet is Hygiene"…The Secret Behind Coway's Number One Position
Coway Secures Market No.1 with 'Lulu Bidet Self-Care'
As more consumers invest in bathroom spaces, functional bidets that enhance hygiene and user convenience with automatic sterilization technology are gaining attention. Coway's recently launched 'Lulu Bidet Self-Care' is a representative example. Through this product, Coway has begun solidifying its leadership in the winter bidet market.
On the 22nd, Coway announced that the new product 'Lulu Bidet Self-Care' has been gaining popularity since its release, based on differentiated hygiene and cleaning power. Coway has led the development of bidet technology in Korea. In 2009, it launched a bidet equipped with sterilization functions, leading hygiene trends. This product also features a three-stage self-sterilization system that automatically sterilizes the waterway, nozzle, and ceramic bowl using electrolyzed sterilizing water.
Coway explained that the electrolyzed sterilizing water, made with a 99% sterilization-certified module, periodically manages the product, and the sterilizing water spray angle has been widened compared to previous products to clean even the upper part of the ceramic bowl. The nozzle is made of stainless steel resistant to contamination and is sterilized twice before and after use to reduce hygiene concerns. The nozzle tip, which can come into direct contact with contaminants, is detachable and replaceable to enhance maintenance convenience.
For consumers who feel the existing bidet water pressure is weak, the water flow course has also been upgraded. Based on a scientifically analyzed system of water flow, water pressure, air, and cleaning range, users can select various cleaning modes according to their preferences and conditions. In particular, when the automatic mode is selected, a function that creates a water jet with fine water droplets combined with air bubbles is applied during the intensive cleaning stage.
Attention was also paid to maintenance convenience. It allows easy water cleaning and enhances energy efficiency by reducing the time to reach hot water temperature and power consumption. A power-saving mode is applied that lowers the seat and hot water temperature settings when the bidet is not in use. Considering the difficulties of installing bidets in environments with low water pressure, such as old houses or high-rise apartments, a low water pressure specialized product was also introduced.
