One Employee Dies in Explosion Accident at KOGAS
At 12:54 PM on the 21st, an unexplained explosion occurred in the explosives storage room at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) in Daejeon, resulting in the death of one employee.
According to the Agency for Defense Development on the same day, the deceased employee was a contract worker rehired after retirement. The fire department, upon receiving the report, deployed 24 pieces of equipment and over 80 personnel to the scene, and it was reported that the explosion did not lead to a fire.
A citizen who was passing by the research institute at the time and heard the explosion told Yonhap News, "I was driving when suddenly a loud noise, presumed to be a large explosion, was heard, and the car windows shook."
