Boseong-gun Secures 150 Billion KRW in National and Provincial Project Grants This Year
120 Billion KRW Increase in National and Provincial Funding Secured Compared to Previous Year
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it secured a total project cost of 150 billion KRW through national and provincial government grant projects in 2023.
This is an increase of 121.3 billion KRW compared to the 28.7 billion KRW secured last year.
Boseong-gun applied for a total of 71 grant projects worth 236 billion KRW to secure national and provincial funds this year, of which 58 projects were selected.
Additionally, there are still grant projects available for selection at the end of this month, so the final scale of selection is expected to increase further.
The major projects selected this year include ▲2024 New and Renewable Energy Distribution Convergence Support (4 billion KRW) ▲2024 High-Quality Rice Distribution Activation (14.9 billion KRW) ▲Yulpo Port Fishing Village New Vitality Promotion (30 billion KRW) ▲Beolgyo Mudflat Restoration (7 billion KRW) ▲Beolgyo Bongnim Flood and Wind Disaster Living Zone Comprehensive Maintenance (35.8 billion KRW) ▲2024 Vulnerable Area Living Condition Renovation (6.1 billion KRW) ▲Follow-up Maintenance of Aged Water Supply Networks (40.7 billion KRW), totaling 58 projects.
Of the secured 150 billion KRW, national and provincial funds account for 83.2 billion KRW (55.5%), county funds 59.3 billion KRW (39.5%), and others 7.5 billion KRW (5.0%), with external resources making up 60.5%, greatly contributing to easing the county's financial burden and expected to further strengthen residential conditions and safety infrastructure closely related to residents' lives.
Since the beginning of the year, Boseong-gun has been fully committed to securing national and provincial funds, with County Governor Kim Cheol-woo leading all staff in actively applying for grant projects, frequently visiting central government ministries and the National Assembly to secure funding.
Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “I am grateful to the staff who actively participated in attracting national and provincial government grant projects this year. Next year, we will carefully analyze government grant project trends to discover, promote, and secure projects that can enhance Boseong’s future and the dignity of its residents.”
