Hyundai Wia Employees Donate Cars to 20 Welfare Organizations
On the 21st, Hyundai Wia employees announced that they donated cars to welfare organizations using money collected by saving 1% of their monthly salaries. As a representative social contribution program conducted by the company, the employees' collected fund of 500 million KRW was combined with support funds from the company and Hyundai Motor Group to purchase vehicles, which were then delivered to welfare organizations. This year, 9 vans, 7 passenger cars, 2 wheelchair-accessible vans, and 2 refrigerated trucks were given to welfare organizations located in Changwon City, where the headquarters is, as well as in Uiwang, Pyeongtaek, Ansan in Gyeonggi Province, Seosan in Chungnam, Gwangju, and Ulsan, where the company has business sites. Since 2013, the company has donated a total of 170 vehicles up to this year. The vehicles were donated according to the needs of each welfare organization, especially to those without vehicles or those unable to operate due to old vehicles.
