Ulsan's Ulju 'Daedae General Industrial Complex' Map Released... Ulsan City Approves Plan
Odor Issues Resolved for Residents Following Expansion of Hoeya Wastewater Treatment Plant
Employment Growth and Regional Balanced Development Expected from Industrial Complex Creation
Ulsan City approved the plan for the Daedae General Industrial Complex development project and announced the topographic map on the 21st.
The project involves creating an industrial complex of 95,628㎡ and a relocation complex of 19,487㎡ within a total area of 115,115㎡ in Daedae-ri and Chocheon-ri, Ungchon-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, by 2025.
The purpose of this project is to relocate residents living near the Hoeya Sewage Treatment Plant expansion in Ungchon-myeon, Ulju-gun, who have been experiencing difficulties due to odors and other issues, thereby securing a stable living environment.
Additionally, the area will be publicly developed as an industrial complex to increase local employment opportunities and promote balanced development by expanding insufficient production infrastructure.
The Daedae General Industrial Complex development project was approved by the city council in December 2020 and the industrial complex designation plan was announced in November 2021.
Subsequently, in October of this year, the Industrial Complex Planning Review Committee conditionally approved the plan, and Ulsan City gave final approval after reviewing the action plan for the conditions based on the review results submitted by Ulsan Urban Corporation.
The project implementer, Ulsan Urban Corporation, will begin land compensation next year, start construction, and complete the project by 2025.
