Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Visits Sanggye-dong Collection Site for Environmental Improvement
On the 20th at 1 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, visited the completion site of the environmental improvement construction at the collection center in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul.
This project targeted the collection center (4,592㎡) located at 743-11 Sanggye-dong from October to December 2023. To ensure a safe working environment for sanitation workers collecting and transporting household waste, the asphalt pavement (approximately 4,000㎡) of the contractor's garage and waste storage area was repaved, and parking stoppers and fall prevention curbs were installed. Additionally, 200 meters of external screening around the collection center was added to improve the surrounding landscape.
For a cleaner working environment, new restrooms, shower rooms, and break rooms (including storage) were constructed, and aging facilities (such as internal mesh fences) were replaced.
