Excellent local governments were selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of document screening and Q&A on overall youth policy and efforts to support out-of-school youth.
Goseong-gun was the only excellent local government selected among the military regions in Gyeongnam, and it is highly significant as it was awarded the Presidential Award in 2021 and the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award in 2022 and 2023, being selected as an excellent local government for three consecutive years.
Goseong-gun received high scores in the policy evaluation by ▲ extending the Youth Dream Voucher project, the first universal youth allowance project nationwide ▲ expanding youth-led activities and policy participation programs through youth training facilities (Goseong-gun Youth Center ‘On’, Dongbu Youth Center, Hai Youth Center) ▲ strengthening the protection support system for at-risk youth through the establishment of a youth safety net.
