National Jeongdong Theater's New Year's Concert 'Yongsotum' on the 12th of Next Month... Featuring Yoon Hyung-joo and Austin Kim
The National Jeongdong Theater will present the New Year's concert "Dragon Soar" as its first performance of 2024.
Jeongdong Theater announced on the 20th that it will hold the New Year's concert on January 12 next year, showcasing a stage where musicals, popular songs, classical music, Korean traditional music, and dance blend with media art.
The performance will feature musical actor Yang Jun-mo and Jeongga vocalist Ha Yoon-joo, who are in charge of Jeongdong Theater's brunch concert "Jeongdong Palette" and "Jeongdong Next," as MCs meeting the audience.
Austin Kim, leader of the crossover quartet "Fortena," will take the stage. Departing from the harmonies blended with his members, he will present the charm of his contralto voice in this performance.
Yoon Hyung-joo, a master of Korean folk music who appeared in the musical "The Secret Garden" and conveyed analog sensibility with warm guitar melodies, will perform a medley of famous songs on stage.
Yoon Se-yeon, a Gyeonggi folk singer selected as the best artist of the year in the 2023 Youth Traditional Performing Arts Creative Incubating Project "Cheongchun Manbal," will add excitement with lively Korean sounds. The National Jeongdong Theater Art Troupe, which crosses the boundaries between tradition and creation, will depict the soaring of the Blue Dragon through Yeonhui (traditional Korean performance art).
