View original imageMonolake is a platform that gathers data scattered across multiple locations into one place for efficient analysis and utilization. It was introduced to solve the problem of difficulty in sharing distributed internal data amid increasing data volume during game live services and new game development processes.
Monolake standardizes the vast amount of data generated in real-time and undergoes the same loading process. This has improved the efficiency of data batch processing. The time to process approximately 100 terabytes (TB) of data generated daily, over 8,000 events, and more than 45 billion logs has been reduced from 2 hours to about 5 minutes.
The same platform is applied to existing data stored in Japanese and North American subsidiaries as well as externally, enabling data sharing without separate migration work. It is expected to reduce the time and cost required for data infrastructure management.
Through Monolake, Nexon plans to discover meaningful data and insights and plan new data services. On the 13th, it held the 'Monolake Incoming Day' event for employees, sharing ways to utilize the platform for enhancing game services such as real-time detection of abnormal user behavior and increasing communication between users and operators.
