[Featured Stock] DRTECH Enters US Market with World-Class AI Medical Equipment... Standing Shoulder to Shoulder with GE and Siemens
Digital imaging diagnostic solution company DRTECH is showing strong performance. The news that it is actively selling its premium digital C-arm system EXTRON not only domestically but also to numerous hospitals in the United States appears to have influenced its stock price.
As of 9:36 AM on the 20th, DRTECH is trading at 4,500 KRW, up 22.45% from the previous day.
DRTECH is officially marketing its cutting-edge digital FPD-type C-arm equipped with a world-class IGZO video detector independently developed, artificial intelligence (AI) object recognition technology, and real-time video processing RNR (Real-time Noise Reduction) technology. This product delivers high-quality images in real time at one-fifth the radiation dose compared to competitors. These models minimize radiation exposure risks for both patients and medical staff, significantly reduce surgery and procedure times, and provide a safer medical environment.
The C-arm, named after its 'C-shaped arm,' can move in almost all directions, allowing real-time imaging of bone and joint lesions from most angles during surgeries or procedures in orthopedics, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, and pain medicine. Premium-grade C-arms require high performance, and four companies?GE, Siemens, Philips, and Ziehm?dominate this market. DRTECH has challenged this market with EXTRON, developed through accumulated detector and AI image processing technologies.
When using C-arm medical equipment, both medical staff and patients are inevitably exposed to radiation. Depending on the degree and duration of exposure, mild effects such as hair loss, dermatitis, and ulcers may occur, and long-term exposure increases the risk of cancer, leukemia, and cataracts. In medical staff, frequent exposure has even caused finger necrosis. Therefore, attempts have been made to reduce radiation doses from C-arm devices, but no groundbreaking progress had been achieved until now.
EXTRON obtained Korean KFDA certification in March and FDA certification in August. It is expected to expand sales as it prepares to secure European CE certification in the first quarter of next year.
A DRTECH representative said, "We have dramatically improved user convenience with a high-resolution large-area screen and realized differentiated high-quality images at the lowest radiation dose," adding, "EXTRON is receiving high praise from hospital officials."
They continued, "In addition to domestic sales, we have conducted competitive comparisons and demos in the U.S. market," and added, "Sales will start in December this year, with many hospital demo schedules registered for next year, and we are actively selling overseas as well."

Kim Hak-jun, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, explained, "The possibility of radiation exposure is increasing with real-time X-ray equipment," and said, "The expansion of exposure is becoming a burden for doctors and patients, so globally there is a trend to minimize radiation doses (Low Dose)." He added, "DRTECH has secured high product competitiveness by implementing high contrast at low doses, removing light scattering through AI algorithms, and reducing noise via deep learning."
