Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's Recently Published Casebook on the Operation of Outstanding Second Foreign Language Schools
View original imageThe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has published the "2023 Euddeum School Operation Casebook," which compiles excellent examples of second foreign language thematic inquiry projects. It will also select and actively support second foreign language Euddeum Schools next year.
Second foreign language Euddeum Schools are those that operate distinctive foreign language programs focused on communication skills, including diverse arrangements of the second foreign language curriculum, foreign language subject convergence projects, student-led second foreign language empathy clubs, and international exchanges with foreign schools.
Jo Young-min, Director of the Convergence Education Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, "In the future society, it is important to develop communication skills and the ability to understand and respect different cultures and ways of thinking. We will actively support second foreign language education that allows learners to take initiative, enhancing understanding and communication with various countries and helping students grow into talents with a broad perspective."

The Provincial Office of Education will accept applications from interested schools in January next year and select the second foreign language Euddeum Schools for the 2024 academic year.
