Gyeonggi-do Provides 'Settlement Support Fund' to 150 Newly Opened Public and National Daycare Centers This Year
Gyeonggi Province provided 20 million KRW per public daycare center as a settlement support fund to 150 public daycare centers that opened this year.
On the 20th, Gyeonggi Province announced that to expand public daycare centers during the 8th elected administration and achieve a 50% utilization rate of public childcare services (currently 38%), it supported public daycare centers with 20 million KRW each for personnel expenses, operating costs, and facility expenses.
Gyeonggi Province explained that, due to the nature of public daycare centers receiving support based on the number of enrolled children, they face difficulties during the preparation period for opening as they cannot receive government support for personnel and operating expenses, and thus decided to provide a settlement support fund for newly opened centers this year after gathering field opinions.
