Touching Year-End Concert at Suncheon Medical Center
The Hospice and Palliative Care Ward at Suncheon Medical Center in Jeonnam (Director Kim Dae-yeon) held a 'Year-end Concert of Love and Gratitude' for patients.
According to Suncheon Medical Center on the 19th, the Hospice and Palliative Care Ward resumed normal operations after a three-year closure due to COVID-19 since July 1 of last year, and is currently providing palliative medical services to terminal cancer patients.
Suncheon Medical Center's Hospice and Palliative Care Ward is striving to create a comfortable inpatient environment through various care programs, including palliative care services and spiritual care services for patients.
In addition, it provides a comfortable end-of-life environment by respecting the dignified right to self-determination of life and managing the emotional care of terminal cancer pain patients and their caregivers.
This year-end concert event was organized to reflect on the hospice operation over the past year and to welcome the upcoming year 2024 well.
The event was attended by inpatients, caregivers, and employees of Suncheon Medical Center. Various programs such as a year-end speech, acoustic guitar performance, meal, and gift presentation were held.
Kang Sook-hee, head nurse, said, "We are grateful that the Hospice and Palliative Care Ward at Suncheon Medical Center was able to operate safely throughout 2023," adding, "In 2024, we will do our best to fulfill our role in providing comfortable end-of-life care for terminal cancer patients and delivering high-quality palliative care services."
