View original imageIn Gwanak-gu, Seoul, there is a group of shoe repair operators. They were once called "shoe shiners." Members of the "Gwanak Nokjihoe" (the group's name) held the "Love Shoe Shining" event again this year and donated the proceeds to neighbors in need.
Over the past 34 years, the total amount donated has exceeded 130 million won. This year, they raised 1.4 million won through a one-day shoe shining event and donated the entire amount to support children-headed households, elderly people without family, and other neighbors in difficulty.
