Hyundai Transys Obtains Two New Technology Certifications in Seat Sector
Hyundai Transys announced on the 19th that it has received New Excellent Technology (NET) certification from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for two automotive seat-related technologies.
The NET certification is a government system that certifies excellent technologies that are either newly developed domestically or have innovatively improved existing technologies. Hyundai Transys was recognized for its eco-friendliness with the "Manufacturing Technology of Eco-friendly Ventilated Slab Padding Material for Automotive Seats to Reduce VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) Emissions."
This technology utilizes newly developed eco-friendly raw materials with flame retardant properties (materials that are difficult to ignite) in the production of padding materials for seat covering, significantly reducing the use of harmful flame retardants to the human body.
The "Technology for Miniaturization of Impact, Vibration Amplification, and Drive Mechanism Implementing Massage Function for Vehicle Seats" was recognized for providing massage functions to desired body parts during long drives. This function delivers more direct stimulation to the body compared to existing pneumatic and vibration types. In particular, through the controller located on the armrest, users can adjust the massage intensity and position for specific areas such as the waist, hips, and legs, enhancing personalized convenience. This technology was applied to the second row of the facelifted Kia Carnival model released last November.
