Busan City will hold the ‘15-Minute City Vision Tour Season 2 Dong-gu Edition’ at 2 p.m. on the 19th at the Dong-gu National Sports and Culture Center performance hall.
The event will be attended by about 250 people, including Mayor Park Hyung-jun, Dong-gu District Mayor Kim Jin-hong, Executive Director Kang Gu-hyun of Korea Securities Depository, CEO Kim Tae-gyu of Artis Linen, and the Sympathy Policy Group. The program will proceed in the order of PT presentation, policy briefing, discussion and Q&A, performance, and commemorative photo session.
The 15-minute city is a journey created together with citizens. Unlike past visits to autonomous districts and counties in the form of meetings with district residents, the city planned the ‘15-Minute City Vision Tour’ in stages with the purpose of proposing policy agendas and communicating with citizens.
While Season 1 conducted last year aimed to share the vision of the 15-minute city, Season 2, promoted this year, aims to activate citizen participation throughout the entire policy cycle, including policy planning, decision-making, execution, and evaluation.
Vision Tour Season 2 has been sequentially promoted targeting 16 autonomous districts and counties, starting with Saha-gu in March, and this event will be held in Dong-gu as the sixth in order.
At the event, local residents will directly propose (brief) policy tasks, and discussions and preference surveys on the topics will be conducted among participants. A total of two policy tasks will be proposed.
▲ (Sujeongsan Complex Sports Complex Development Project) Although residents’ demand for recreational sports is increasing, sports facilities are insufficient. Therefore, to meet residents’ demand for recreational sports and support a healthy life, there is a plan to create park golf courses and other facilities in spaces close to residential areas.
▲ (Financial Specialized Deulraknallak Resident Convenience Facility Development) This project involves creating highly preferred resident convenience facilities along with office facilities on the site of Jwaseong Elementary School, purchased by Korea Securities Depository in 2021. A financial specialized Deulraknallak will be established on part of the Jwaseong Elementary School site to provide experiential financial education services not only to elementary, middle, and high school students but also to local residents.
