‘2023 Gwangjin Donation Relay’ Boosts Sharing Spirit
Gwangjin-gu Conducts Gwangjin Donation Relay Touring 15 Community Centers Until the 21st... Promoting Year-End and New Year Donation Culture and Increasing Participation in Regular Donations
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is launching the "2023 Gwangjin Donation Relay," starting at Jayang 3-dong Community Service Center on the 5th and continuing until the 21st.
The "Gwangjin Donation Relay," part of the 2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign, will be held by touring 15 community service centers.
Initiated for the first time this year to foster a spirit of helping neighbors during the year-end and New Year season and to increase participation in regular donations, the event is co-hosted by the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, with support from Gwangjin-gu.
Each community service center operates a donation reception desk at designated times, posting certification photos of participants, playing a significant role in spreading the culture of giving.
Upcoming schedules include ▲ Neung-dong Community Service Center on the 19th ▲ Gwangjang-dong Community Service Center on the 20th ▲ Guui 1-dong Community Service Center on the 21st. Detailed schedules can be obtained by contacting each community service center.
Even after the donation relay ends, the 2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter fundraising will continue until February 14 next year. The donated funds will be delivered through the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation to low-income households in urgent need or those not receiving public support.
