This study conducted a meta-analysis of various domestic and international papers, presenting research results that suggest the possibility that students' immersive experiences can be linked to academic performance.
Students at National Pukyong National University studied the relationship between the concept of flow, proposed by American psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, known for the “joy of immersion,” and academic achievement.
Based on related papers from Korea and the United States, their meta-analysis showed a correlation between academic achievement and flow, with an effect size (r-index) of 0.48, indicating a medium effect size.
