Public Opinion Survey on the Development Direction of the Former Bupyeong US Military Base Park in Incheon
Incheon City announced on the 18th that it will conduct a public opinion survey by January 7 next year to establish a park development plan for the former Bupyeong US military base (Camp Market). The Camp Market Public Deliberation Promotion Team will set the survey methods and sample design to carry out the survey.
The survey will be conducted via telephone or online, targeting 2,000 citizens aged 18 or older who are registered residents of Incheon. The survey items will include ▲ basic awareness of Camp Market ▲ opinions on the direction of park development on the Camp Market site ▲ willingness to participate in the public deliberation citizen participation group, among others.
Additionally, among the citizens who respond that they are willing to participate in the 'Camp Market Public Deliberation Citizen Participation Group' in the survey, 290 people will be selected to form the citizen participation group. In this process, 20 youth participants will also be separately selected. They will participate in a large citizen debate after completing preliminary learning on the agenda.
Kim Mi-kyung, chairperson of the Public Deliberation Promotion Team, said, "This survey is the first step to gather citizens' opinions to establish the direction for the Camp Market park development," and "the promotion team will carry out the public deliberation process until the end of February next year, and the final plan reflecting the results will be reviewed by the 'Camp Market Citizen Participation Committee' in March."
