View original imageHyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has established the position of Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), an executive role, for the first time in the industry through an organizational restructuring and appointed Jung Kyung-sun, the eldest son of Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Chairman Chung Mong-yoon.
On the 15th, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced that it would appoint Jung Kyung-sun, the eldest son of Chairman Chung, as Executive Director and assign him as CSO as part of the organizational restructuring.
CSO Jung, born in 1986, graduated from Korea University with a degree in Business Administration and earned a master's degree in Business Administration from Columbia University in the United States. He has supported innovative projects addressing various social issues by founding non-profit organizations and impact investment firms. Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance explained that Jung’s diverse experience and expertise in domestic and international ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) fields will serve as a foundation for the company’s sustainable growth.
Through CSO Jung, the company plans to pursue tasks such as ▲establishing a long-term vision to maintain market competitiveness ▲discovering future growth engines ▲leading the transition to digital and artificial intelligence (AI) ▲internalizing ESG management ▲expanding communication with customers and stakeholders, thereby enhancing corporate value and status.
