The Atom Engineering Classroom is an experiential program where Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters employees participate as one-day teachers, assembling engineering kits together while delivering scientific principles to students in an engaging way. Since its inception in 2005, the Atom Engineering Classroom has been held annually, receiving positive feedback not only from students but also from teachers and parents due to its lessons tailored to the children’s level, leading to its continuous operation every year.

This year, based on the preferred kits surveyed by each school, the program was conducted under the theme ‘Making a Cleaning Robot That Changes Direction by Itself.’ Students assembled the kits together and spent meaningful time learning and applying scientific principles used in everyday life.

Park Kibin, assistant manager at Shin Hanul Unit 1 Power Plant, who participated as a one-day teacher, shared, “I felt rewarded seeing the students understand difficult scientific principles such as the operation of vibration motors and sensor activation using micro switches through assembling the engineering kits, and even directly applying them.”

Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to continue making generous efforts and support to discover and nurture future talents.
