On the 14th, Busan Yeonje District announced that an anonymous woman in her 80s donated 20 million won with the intention of using it for the 'Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign.'
The donor expressed, "I felt sorry that the donation amount for this year's Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign Temperature Tower seemed low," and stated her intention to donate the money she had saved.
She visited the Yeonje District Office Welfare Policy Division and handed over 20 million won wrapped in newspaper, which she had saved for a long time. During the handover, when a district office employee asked for her name, she reportedly refused to reveal her identity, saying, "If you keep asking, I won't donate."
Yeonje District stated that the money entrusted by the woman will be delivered as an undesignated donation to the Community Chest of Korea.
