Democratic Party's Second Talent Recruitment is Lee Jae-sung, Former NCSoft Employee
No.1 'Climate' Lawyer Park Ji-hye Followed by 'Economy' Entrepreneur
"4th Industrial Revolution Expert Bridging Large Corporations and Startups"
The Democratic Party of Korea has recruited Lee Jae-sung, a former executive at NCSoft, as the second talent to be deployed in next year's general election.
The Democratic Party's Talent Committee, chaired by Representative Lee Jae-myung, held a talent recruitment ceremony at the National Assembly on the morning of the 14th and announced Lee as a new recruit. The committee introduced him as "a self-made entrepreneur who does not settle for the status quo and takes on new challenges," and "an expert in the Fourth Industrial Revolution who has experience in both large corporations and startups, making him the right person to lead South Korea's innovation economy."

View original imageLee is originally from Busan and has an academic background that includes Pohang University of Science and Technology, Busan Catholic University School of Medicine, and a degree in Computational Statistics from Seoul National University. He began his career at the mobile telecommunications company Hansol PCS and served as director at Netmarble and CJ Internet, executive director at NCSoft, CEO of NCSoft Services, and executive director at the NC Cultural Foundation, holding executive positions in software companies for 15 years. Additionally, he served as chairman of the board at Futurescolle, a domestic edutech startup that developed non-face-to-face education solutions, and as CEO of Saesol Tech, an autonomous driving startup.
A Democratic Party official evaluated, "Lee has a special passion for social contribution activities that pursue balanced development," adding, "He served as the inaugural director of the Busan Creative Education Center 'Aloysio Base 1968,' actively working to bridge the educational gap between the eastern and western regions of Busan."
Lee Jae-sung stated, "It is a reality that the national R&D (Research and Development) budget is being cut and regressing due to a single remark by President Yoon Seok-yeol," and expressed his ambition, saying, "As an expert in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, I will discover new growth engines for the future through the development of companies and industries based on field experience and execution capabilities."
