Seoul City: "Preservatives in Commercial Infant and Children's Cosmetics Meet Safety Standards"
On the 14th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Health and Environment Research Institute announced that cosmetics for infants and children sold in large supermarkets and department stores in Seoul comply with safety management standards.
The institute investigated the usage status of ingredients mainly used as preservatives in cosmetics across 104 different product types. A total of five preservatives were detected, all of which were used within the permitted limits.

However, under the Cosmetics Act regulated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, preservatives used in cosmetics for infants or children must mandatorily list the ingredient names and contents. The city explained that information on two products that did not display this was shared with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
