Opening Ceremony of the Iksan National Food Cluster Complex Cultural Center Held
Establishment of Various Convenience Facilities... Improvement of Welfare Environment and Stable Settlement
The National Food Cluster Complex Cultural Center located in Iksan City, Jeonbuk, held its opening ceremony on the 13th and will provide various convenience facilities, including improvements to residential conditions within the industrial complex.
According to Jeonbuk Province and Iksan City, the opening ceremony was attended by Shin Won-sik, Director of the Agricultural Life and Livestock Food Bureau of Jeonbuk Province, and Noh Young-ho, Manager at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Since the completion of the National Food Cluster industrial complex in 2017, the number of resident workers has increased, but convenience facilities and residential conditions for employees of tenant companies have been insufficient. As a solution, the construction of a complex cultural center within the complex was pursued.

The complex cultural center project was carried out over four years starting in 2020, with a total budget of 4 billion KRW (2 billion KRW from the province and 2 billion KRW from the city). It provides much-needed convenience facilities (such as restaurants and convenience stores) within the complex, significantly improving residential conditions.
With this completion, it will help stabilize the settlement of employees of tenant and prospective companies and provide rest spaces for visitors. It is expected to transform the image of the industrial complex from a rigid environment into a place where people can come together.
The construction covers a site area of 2,271㎡ (686 pyeong) and a total floor area of 1,118㎡ (338 pyeong) over two above-ground floors. Administrative procedures such as public building review and shared property review were conducted in 2020, the project started in 2021, and it was completed in December of this year.
The exhibition and sales hall on the first floor of the complex cultural center is designed as a space for tenant companies to sell and promote their products, as well as to promote the National Food Cluster and Jeonbuk Province. A live broadcasting room is also provided to directly connect tenant companies’ products with consumers in real time.
The second floor consists of convenience facilities for tenant companies, including a fitness center and cafeteria, allowing employees to utilize various amenities.
