"Is There Such a District Mayor?"... Praise for Choi Ho-gwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor's 'Broad-Spectrum Actions'
Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Attends Former Mayor Chae Hyunil's Book Launch, Receives Positive Feedback
The current district mayor attended the former mayor's book launch event. Notably, despite belonging to different political parties, the current mayor went to offer congratulations without any reservations.
Choi Ho-kwon, the mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, is receiving widespread praise from those around him. Last month, on a Sunday, Mayor Choi attended and congratulated former mayor Chae Hyun-il at his book launch event.
People who witnessed this were quite surprised. A retired Yeongdeungpo district official, Mr. A, said, "I was shocked to see Mayor Choi, who belongs to the People Power Party, attend the book launch of former mayor Chae, who is from the Democratic Party." He added, "Usually, even if someone from the same party holds a book launch, it is not easy for political competitors to attend, so seeing Mayor Choi’s broad-minded approach(?) was truly surprising."
Regarding this, Mayor Choi calmly stated, "I went to congratulate the former mayor who held a book launch."
Mayor Choi is highly regarded as a politician who clearly acts with proper respect on a human level, even when political parties differ.
