Jeonbuk Education Community Successfully Concludes '2023 Jeonbuk Parents Festival'
On the 9th, Communication and Festival Unfold... Activating 'Parental Participation in School'
The festival for parents, a place of communication and harmony within the Jeonbuk educational community, was held successfully.
On the 9th, according to the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Geo-seok), the '2023 Jeonbuk Parents Festival' was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the outdoor yard and annex of the Office of Education.
This parents festival was hosted and organized for the first time by the Jeonbuk Office of Education and the Jeonbuk Parents Association Council. The Jeonbuk educational community prepared a place of harmony to unite hearts for the future of children, just like the African proverb "It takes a whole village to raise a child," creating a festival space for communication with the residents.

By sharing the results and cases of the Jeonbuk parents' school participation projects, the event promoted active parental involvement in schools and provided opportunities for parents to take the lead through programs planned and operated by parents themselves.
Thanks to the mild weather that day, the outdoor plaza with promotional booths where parents from each city and county shared their school participation activities allowed organizers and participants to enjoy the festival peacefully.
The venue, composed of promotional, exhibition, and experience areas, operated various programs including ▲ exhibitions and sharing of local parents' association activities ▲ VR experiences ▲ Book and Teacher sessions ▲ family caricatures ▲ making multipurpose wooden pot holders ▲ CPR training ▲ succulent plant potting, among others.
The most popular attraction of the festival was the food. Food booths offering egg bread, fish cake, and pancakes attracted children who came with their parents to the event. The annex, where VR experiences, family caricatures, and succulent plant potting took place, was also crowded with participants.
Jeong Yumi, president of the Jeonbuk Parents Association Council, said, "This is a diary of the year-long efforts to establish the role of the newly launched Jeonbuk Parents Association and to create a focal point for harmony and communication within the educational community," adding, "We will actively cooperate to realize warmer coexistence education involving parents, schools, and the Office of Education."
