Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will conduct an online vote from the 8th to the 14th to select the ‘Top 10 News Stories that Shined in Changwon in 2023.’
The year-end survey on the ‘Top 10 Changwon City Administration News’ is a vote on major policies of the year, designed to listen to citizens’ voices and actively reflect them in policy making.
The 30 candidate news items selected earlier this year include ▲ Changwon National Industrial Complex 2.0, selection of new national industrial complex candidate sites ▲ Operation of SRT (high-speed rail) between Changwon and Suseo ▲ Reorganization of the district unit plan for Changwon’s satellite city ▲ Registration of Starfield Changwon opening ▲ Recovery of the nuclear industry ecosystem ▲ Designation as an environmental education city by the Ministry of Environment, among others.
The survey is conducted online, and anyone interested in city administration can participate through Changwon City’s website under ‘Citizen Participation > Survey > 2023 Top 10 Changwon City Administration News Survey.’ Up to 10 out of the 30 news items can be selected. Among the citizens who participate in the vote, 40 people will be selected by lottery to receive coffee vouchers worth 5,000 won.
Based on the survey results, the city plans to announce the ‘Top 10 Changwon City Administration News of 2023’ on the 18th and post it on the city website.
