Consumer Agency Issues Warning: Consumer Damage from Korea's Georae Soaring...
The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 8th that it has issued a consumer damage advisory due to an increase in damages related to Korea Silver Exchange, an online shopping mall selling precious metals such as silver bars.
From January to November 30 of this year, the Consumer Agency received 43 damage relief applications related to Korea Silver Exchange.
According to the reasons for the applications, many cases involved consumers not receiving the ordered products or delays in delivery, and when consumers requested contract withdrawal, refunds were delayed. All 43 payments were made in cash, such as bank transfers or direct deposits. For example, one applicant ordered a silver bar in April this year and paid 989,000 KRW in cash, but the delivery was delayed, and despite requesting a refund, it was delayed multiple times.
