Seoul National University Bundang Hospital Introduces KT 'AI Voicebot' at Health Screening Center
Bundang Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 7th that it has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) voice bot to assist customers of the Health Promotion Center in scheduling their next health checkup, becoming the first tertiary general hospital health checkup center to implement such technology.

The AI voice bot introduced by Bundang Seoul National University Hospital’s Health Promotion Center is a service that proactively calls customers who have passed a certain period since their last health checkup to inquire about their intention to undergo the next examination, ensuring they do not miss their scheduled checkups. The AI voice bot service was developed as a result of joint research between Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and KT aimed at enhancing hospital value, which began last year and was implemented as an actual service this year.
The hospital explained that the AI voice bot service provides customers with opportunities to take care of their health, resulting in high satisfaction. It was reported that nearly half of the customers who received a happy call through the AI voice bot expressed their intention to undergo a health checkup this year. From the hospital’s perspective, this allows professional consultation to be provided to customers interested in checkups without increasing the workload of counseling nurses.
The Health Promotion Center’s AI voice bot incorporates KT’s STT (Speech To Text) engine and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solution, enabling natural conversations between the voice bot and patients. Additionally, KT’s expertise in voice bot operation ensures stable solution monitoring and operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Meanwhile, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital plans to expand the solution in collaboration with KT to include 'closure notifications' and 'schedule changes' that support customers in rescheduling appointments during hospital closures, which is expected to be launched in the first half of next year. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and convenience in medical services.
Hwang Jin-hyuk, Director of the Health Promotion Center at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, said, "As interest in health has been increasing recently, health checkups have become an essential element for lifelong health. With the introduction of the voice bot, customers will be able to receive checkups at the appropriate time, which is expected to greatly improve not only customer satisfaction but also work efficiency."
