Providing Customized Benefits for Selected Businesses Considering Menu Proportion Below Nearby Market Average Prices
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) is recruiting Good Price Businesses that contribute to stabilizing local prices at affordable rates until the 11th of this month amid ongoing high inflation.
'Good Price Businesses' refer to individual businesses that provide excellent services to consumers with clean hygiene conditions and prices lower than the local average. These are price stabilization businesses designated and managed by local governments according to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety standards.
The evaluation criteria include the proportion of menu items priced below the average price in the nearby commercial area (Good Price Menu), excellent hygiene and cleanliness, and public interest. The district plans to designate businesses requiring support as Good Price Businesses among those with a total score of 40 points or higher.
Once designated as a Good Price Business, a Good Price Business plaque will be awarded, and the business will be actively promoted through the Seongdong-gu Office website and social media (SNS). Additionally, customized goods worth approximately 470,000 KRW will be provided per business through consultations with the owners.
Eligible applicants are individual service businesses such as dining, beauty and hair salons, and laundry services located in Seongdong-gu. Interested business owners can visit the Seongdong-gu website and apply in person at the Regional Economy Division or via email by the 11th of this month. However, businesses that exceed the local average price, have received administrative sanctions within the last two years, have been closed for more than one year, have been operating for less than six months, have unpaid local taxes, or are franchise businesses are excluded.
