On the 5th, Pohang City held the launch ceremony of the ‘Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign’ at the city hall plaza to spread the culture of donation and sharing and to deliver hope and courage to neighbors in need.
With the slogan “Make myself valuable through donation, make Pohang valuable through donation,” Pohang City set a sharing goal of 1.65 billion KRW and will run the campaign for 62 days from December 1st to January 31st of next year.
About 100 people attended the launch ceremony, including Mayor Lee Kang-deok, city and provincial council members, heads of various institutions and organizations, members of the Honor Society, and representative donors from eup, myeon, and dong districts, praying for the achievement of the campaign goal.
In addition, key guests delivered messages of hope, unveiled the ‘Love Thermometer,’ and held a lighting performance of the ‘Fruit of Love’ to announce the launch of the campaign.
The ‘Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign’ offers various ways to participate in donations, including media fundraising with three broadcasting companies, fundraising through the Love Account, and on-site fundraising at eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers.
Jeon Woo-heon, chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, said, “We ask for the warm interest and continuous love of citizens so that the sharing goal of this campaign can be successfully achieved and become a precious fruit for places in our region that need helping hands.”
