Korea University to Host Special Lecture by Fields Medalist Dr. Zelmanov on the 7th
Korea University announced on the 5th that it will hold the 4th 'Next Intelligence Forum (NIF)' by inviting Dr. Yefim Zelmanov, the 1994 Fields Medal recipient, at 10:30 AM on the 7th at the Baekjunyeon Memorial Samsung Hall on Korea University Seoul Campus.
The theme of this forum is 'Mathematics in the Modern World.' NIF is an event held to commemorate Korea University's 120th anniversary in 2025, featuring special lectures by Nobel laureates and prominent figures in society. This event also celebrates the 70th anniversary of Korea University's College of Science.

Dr. Zelmanov received the Fields Medal, known as the Nobel Prize of mathematics, in 1994 for solving the restricted Burnside problem. Along with his lecture, Dr. Zelmanov will meet with Korea University students for a Q&A session.
