"Do We Have to Wait Another 29 Years?"... LG Twins Seoul Plaza Parade Canceled
LG Twins Seoul Plaza Celebration Parade Canceled
Player Personal Schedule Adjustment Difficult After Season
The LG Twins baseball team's celebration parade at Seoul Plaza, following their Korean Series victory after 29 years, has been canceled.
On the 15th, at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, LG Twins General Manager Cha Myung-seok, Captain Oh Ji-hwan, Manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, and CEO Kim In-seok are holding the regular season championship trophy and posing for a commemorative photo.

According to Seoul City on the 5th, the city and the team had been discussing holding a large-scale welcoming event at Seoul Plaza, but ultimately decided not to hold a street event. The city explained that although they considered hosting a street welcoming event with citizens, it did not come to fruition due to scheduling reasons.
Seoul City showed strong determination by even considering postponing the installation of the ice rink at Seoul Plaza, scheduled to begin this week, in order to hold the celebration event at the plaza. However, the team reportedly conveyed that coordinating the players' schedules was difficult. Since the season has ended, players have many personal commitments, making coordination challenging.
As a result, fans who had hoped for a large-scale street welcoming event to celebrate the victory after 29 years were left disappointed. LG Twins fans who heard the news responded with comments such as "Do we have to wait another 29 years?", "It's a rare victory, so it's disappointing," and "I was looking forward to it, so it's upsetting that it was canceled."
Instead, the LG Twins held their own event, the '2023 Love Giving Festival with Championship,' on the 2nd at Kyung Hee University Seoul Campus Peace Hall to celebrate the regular season and overall championship with fans.
