Police Searching Hongdaeipgu Station Following 'Suspicious Bomb Installation Report'
A report of a suspected explosive device installation at Hongdaeipgu Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 prompted the police to conduct a search.
Seoul Mapo Police Station began searching Hongdaeipgu Station from 5:09 a.m. on the 5th after receiving a report of a suspected explosive device installation.
According to the police, a station employee on duty that day found a note inside a men's restroom stall stating that an explosive device had been installed and reported it.
The police have deployed a forensic team to determine whether an explosive device is installed inside the restroom. Additionally, a special forces unit and a riot squad have been dispatched to search the station for any explosives. So far, no abnormalities have been found.
