Incheon Airport Corporation Delivers Walking Aids to Elderly in Local Community
Delivery of 660 Units to 32 Senior Welfare Centers in Incheon Area
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 4th that it has delivered 660 walking aids to senior welfare centers and elderly organizations in the Incheon area to support the mobility convenience of the elderly.
The corporation held a delivery ceremony at the Incheon International Airport Corporation building and handed over 660 walking aids to the Korea Senior Welfare Center Association. Attendees at the ceremony included Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation; Park No-suk, Chairman of the Korea Senior Welfare Center Association; Cho Sang-beom, Chairman of the Incheon Community Chest of Korea; and Kim Se-won, Director of Incheon Jung-gu Senior Welfare Center, among other officials.

View original imageThe walking aids will be distributed to low-income and mobility-impaired elderly people in the Incheon area through 32 senior welfare centers and elderly welfare organizations in the region. They will be delivered directly to individual households.
The corporation has been conducting the senior walking aid support project since 2017. The total number of walking aids provided so far is over 6,000, making it the largest support scale by a single institution nationwide.

President Lee said, “We hope this walking aid support project will be a small help to the elderly in the local community, and the corporation will continue to expand social contribution activities that provide practical assistance to the community.”
