Dacsa Begins Receiving Reports on Unregistered Virtual Asset Service Providers
The Digital Asset Exchange Joint Council (DAXA) announced on the 4th that it has started accepting reports on unregistered virtual asset service providers in cooperation with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) under the Financial Services Commission.
The reporting targets are domestic and foreign virtual asset service providers conducting unregistered business targeting domestic residents without filing a report under Article 7 of the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information (the Specified Financial Transaction Information Act). Reports can be submitted via DAXA's reporting email.

Reporters should include ▲information related to the service provider ▲evidence of unregistered business activities ▲reasons for suspecting the virtual asset service provider is unregistered. DAXA will conduct a preliminary review based on the received reports and forward the results to the FIU. After the FIU determines whether the virtual asset service provider is unregistered and replies to DAXA, the results will be notified to the service provider. If the service provider continues unregistered business activities, the FIU plans to take necessary measures such as notifying investigative agencies.
