The 5th Gumi Art Fair Held at GumiCO from 7th to 11th
Exhibition and Sale of Local Artists' Artworks
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk will host the "2023 5th Gumi Art Fair" from the 7th to the 11th at GumiCO, organized by the Gumi Art Fair Organizing Committee (Representative Lee Jeongseop).
Now in its 5th year, the Gumi Art Fair is an annual event aimed at revitalizing the local art market and supporting the creative activities of local artists, exhibiting and selling approximately 1,500 artworks.
The opening ceremony will begin on the 7th with a string quartet performance, followed by docent tours of 88 exhibition booths, art lectures for citizens, the 43rd Gumi Artists Association Members’ Exhibition, the 31st Gumi Student Art and Calligraphy Competition award-winning works exhibition, and other side events. Special events such as "I am a Kids Collector!", the Happy Collection exhibition priced at 300,000 KRW, and an artist goods corner will also be held.
The organizing committee stated, "This is a great opportunity to experience high-quality artworks in one place without having to visit an art museum. We hope visitors enjoy the fair without any burden and that the art fair will shine as a venue for communication between local residents and artists."
